Technology is like the song "Knowing Me, Knowing You" by ABBA because I'm building a relationship with technology.
Technology is like the songs from Pink Floyd "Time" and "Money" it takes time and money to keep up with technology.
Technology is like "Carry on My Wayward Son" because with technology you often feel out of control.
Technology is like "Dust in the Wind" because as soon as you learn something new it is obsolete.
Technology is like Johnny Horton's song "I'm Ready, if You're Willing" because as technology advocates, we are ready to to help anyone and everyone to use technology if they are willing to try.
Technology is like the Eagles song "Life in the Fastlane" because it will surely make you lose your mind.Technology is like the song double vision.because you can see things more than one way.
Technology is like the song "Fantasy", because it is a great escape from reality, it is a place a lot of youth visit. We adults need to join this "new" world of possibilities.
Technology is like the song "It's Gonna Work out Fine" because with new technologies there's always stress and usually problems, but if you hang in there, it's gonna work out fine.
Technology is like the song by STYX, "Never Say Never" because when I became interested in computers in late '70's, I signed up for a friends programming class. We needed a 5 1/2" flopply for the class. I tried to by one floppy instead of a box of 10. My reasoning was that I would never use that many floppies. Well... since then I've used hundred's of 5 1/2 '' floppies and several hundred 3 1/2' floppies and probably that many CD's & DVD's. "Never Say Never."
Technology is like the song "A Hard Day's Night by the Beatles because of the technological difficulties encountered during the start of this school year. The lyrics describe the feelings our tech guys must have experienced as they began the year."It's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dogIt's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log"
Technology is like the song "Don't Bring Me Down" by ELO because of the recent technology difficulties with the servers at the various schools. Hopefully our servers can keep up with us!!Technology is like the "Inchworm" song. Some of us learn a little at a time but are making progress!I can't really remember mine...something about ITS ABOUT TIME! Sorry...Technology is like the song "I Know But I Don't Know" because...I know a little, but I don't know a lot.Technology is like "Tralutdoa" because I have no idea what it means, but I know I can ask someone.
Technology is like a "Journey" by Boston, because it's always changing and moving and just when you think you have IT figured out they give you new toys to and your journey continues.Technology is like the song "a little less talk, a lot more action" because now I can show the students instead of them just believing me.
Technology is like "feels like the first time" because we keep learning new things.Technology is like "The Way of the World" because it takes you higher and higher.

Welcome to the Computer Lab!

What an exciting time to learn new things in technology! In class we will explore different websites, software, and complete many different projects.
I still remember the first time I saw a computer and how in awe I was of this amazing machine. I was in third grade and we entered the computer lab. We all took our seats in front of the computer and I just sat there staring at this screen in front of me. The teacher started to explain to us what a computer was and how we needed to be careful of how we treated the machine.
The teacher then pulled out this black flat floppy plastic thing and told us to be careful how we put the floppy disk in the machine. She told us to be careful of how handle the floppy disk and that we should not touch the inner soft plastic becuase this is where all the information is. If this part was damaged then we would not be able to use the computers. I remember feeling very scared.
Now, many years later I still am very careful of how I use computers and everything that goes with them, because after hours of putting all your work together on the computer, I do not want to lose my information becuase I have not taken care of my computer equipment.
Ask your parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles about their first time using or seeing a computer and how they felt? Tell me about it!
